Veterinary nurse visit

This week Class 1 had a visit from a Veterinary Nurse. We learnt all about how to look after a pet and dressed up as vets ourselves!

Ash Wednesday

Pupils found out about Ash Wednesday, the start of Lent, in their Collective Worship service led by Revd. Jonathan Mosedale. Brooke, Sophie and Santa had their foreheads markedwith ash crosses.

Class 2 have been looking at Ancient Egyptian paintings.

Franz Marc and The Blue Rider painters thought that the colours you used showed your feelings. You could paint things using any colour you liked. Class 1 have painted some unusual coloured animals.

Children in class 1 have made warm homes for people living in a cold climate and sledges for them to get around on snow and ice.

Class 1 have designed and made glove puppets based on the animals they are learning about.

Class 2 enjoyed a workshop at the museum, learning about Ancient Egyptians.

This term Class 3 are learning about different kinds of portraits.

Class One's dioramas are nearly finished. This week we decorated the outside of the boxes using lots of different materials and tools.

Class One's Spring topic is 'Animals' We've started the term by learning about wild animals. We've been creating animals from dough and making habitat dioramas.



We like spending time in our jungle!

Playing pass the parcel at the Christmas party ~ it was great fun and everyone got a prize.
