Easter Fun

The Easter holidays are rapidly approaching. There are several opportunities being offered to help children and parents enjoy the break. North Cornwall District Council are offering `activity passes` to a variety of leisure centre. We have just ten passes allocated to our school so if you are interested then please ask Mrs Goldsmith to put your name on the list. The passes will be sent directly to you this time from Janine Plunkett, the local organiser.
On Monday 31st March there will be a free activity day based in the Village Hall. These days are funded by the North Cornwall Activities Network as part of the extended schools agenda. These days are offered to children in the Wadebridgecluster. I am working hard on your behalf to ensure that our children do not miss out! However during the February half term only one pupil from our school attended. So please support the day if you can as if it does not fulfil a need then it will
cease.
Following on from the 9 - 13 meeting last term I have managed to book the North Cornwall mobile skate park for Thursday 27th March. All the safety equipment, course obstacles and instructors will be in the school playground from 10.00am –2.00pm to coach the children. There will be some skate boards available but do bring along your own if you have one. Children attend at their own risk and parents may like to accompany younger children. If it is a success we may be able to repeat the session so feedback will be welcomed.

Busy week ahead

The Wadebridge Music and Public Speaking Festival takes place this week and pupils from our school are taking part playing the clarinet and in verse speaking classes. It is a good opportunity for them to perform to a wider audience. We wish them all the best of luck.
Thursday 6th March is World Book Day. We have invited Trevor Lawrence to come along to share his wonderful tales and involve the pupils in storytelling workshops which will hopefully inspire their own creative writing. Pupils will receive book vouchers which can be used in participating bookshops.
Thursday 6th March is also the District Cross Country event. We have some excellent runners so hopefully the weather will be kind and our school will do well.
