Veterinary nurse visit

This week Class 1 had a visit from a Veterinary Nurse. We learnt all about how to look after a pet and dressed up as vets ourselves!

Ash Wednesday

Pupils found out about Ash Wednesday, the start of Lent, in their Collective Worship service led by Revd. Jonathan Mosedale. Brooke, Sophie and Santa had their foreheads markedwith ash crosses.

Class 1 have created animal habitats.

Ancient Egypt

Class 2 have been looking at Ancient Egyptian paintings.

Class 1 children have been looking at animals in art. They have looked at paintings by Henri Matisse and Franz Marc.

Santa's painting in the style of Rousseau.

Franz Marc

Franz Marc and The Blue Rider painters thought that the colours you used showed your feelings. You could paint things using any colour you liked. Class 1 have painted some unusual coloured animals.

cold climate

Children in class 1 have made warm homes for people living in a cold climate and sledges for them to get around on snow and ice.

glove puppets

Class 1 have designed and made glove puppets based on the animals they are learning about.

museum visit

Class 2 enjoyed a workshop at the museum, learning about Ancient Egyptians.

Ancient Egyptian artefacts

Class 2 were able to handle and examine Ancient Egyptian artefacts.
