Class 1 banquet

Class 1 dressed up as people who lived in a castle. They made a stew with vegetables and herbs from the garden and ate bread with the butter they had made.

Class 1 have been making castles and finding out how they would have been defended.

Restormel castle

Class 1 from St Mabyn and St Tudy schools visited Restormel Castle to find out what it would have been like to live there long ago. They dressed up as servants and found out about how the rich and the poor people would have lived. They explored the castle, made crowns, shields and flags and followed a trail to find the dragon's treasure.

Wild food

Class 1 have been finding out what sort of food people ate when they lived in castles. They went for a walk in the fields to try and find some food. They found nuts, berries and leaves. They learnt that they must always check with an adult before eating anything from the wild, as many plants are poisonous.
